Yeah, I have one of those. I've grown to like it recently as a matter of fact. It's Shinji Ikari and Hikari Horaki from Neon Genesis evangelion. I know that Hikari likes Toji and Shinji ends up with Asuka but I like the way those two interact; I think they'd be cute ^_^

I've never actually sat and watched the whole show, but I did watch the ending (which was one huge brain rape and will never do it again) but I do know who your talking about so I feel good about that lol.

I know this feeling quite well. Happens often when I try to make crossover pairings. If one takes the time to really look at the characters, even if they're from two different shows, they may see the light of relationship that has eluded them for so long.

Oh, cool, I'll use this. ^^ I've found that many of the pairings I support lately happen to be underdog pairings. I also support several that happen to be popular, but personally I don't care if a pairing is popular or not. In fact, I've found the less popular ones can often be more interesting. :3

Although, I don't think people purposely write off such pairings just because it interferes with whatever pairing they prefer. Well, it does happen sometimes. But I think in most cases it's simply a case of different people interpreting the characters and their actions and motives in different ways. What one person might see as a hint, or chemistry, someone else might not see that way. And then there are those who simply don't think a certain pairing would work, because they don't see the characters involved as having whatever they believe is needed for a relationship.

Of course, there are those that only support what's popular or canon, and will totally ignore everything else. And, unfortunately, those tend to be the most "vocal"...
